북극항로 안전운항계획 시스템 개발 개요

Abstract

This paper presents overview of the project “development of safe voyage planning system for ships traveling in Arctic Sea”. The system consists of three modules, which are the prediction module with high-resolution of sea ice informationin Arctic, the transit one including the prediction and evaluation of safe speed and DB construction, and the voyage planning one for the safe ice navigation in Arctic sea. The research project is running from Nov. of 2014 to Feb. of 2019 and supported by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Korea. KRISO and 5 institutes participate in the research project.
