- Abstract
- An experiment was carried out to visualize seabed using the side scan sonar of ISiMI100
AUV. As a mission sensor, ISiMI AUV was equipped with a side scan sonar system. The 600
kHz Sea Scan HDS made by Marinesonic Inc. was selected as the mission sensor of ISiMI100
AUV. In the seabed imaging experiment conducted in Jangmok Geoje near South Sea Research
Institute of KORDI, we got the acoustic images of sea bottom using the Sea Scan HDS side
scan sonar system. The performance of Sea Scan HDS has been validated from the
experimental results. In addition, we checked the effect of interferences between the
side scan sonar system and the electric system of the AUV, and we analyzed the
experimental data visualized by the side scan sonar system of ISiMI.e mission sensor of ISiMI100
