dc.description.abstract | Model tests with a FPU(floating production unit) model in level ice and pack ice were carried out. The resistance in level ice was compensated according to the guideline of ITTC ice committee because target model ice thickness and strengthwere not prepared accurately in this test as well as was compared with a result of a similar model ship. In addition, a model test method in different concentrations of pack ice conditions are established, and pack ice channels were prepared easily and fast using a visualization technique. The resistance value and trend line according to ship speeds agree with the result of the similar ship model. | - |
