In this study, the lifting operation during the removal of a jacket is evaluated at the initial design stage. In this study, we considered two typical jacket platforms with different sizes and weights. It is assumed that the jackets will be removed by the lifting operations using crane vessels. Firstly, according to the international guidelines, evaluation procedure for lifting operation at jacket removal stage is reviewed. Then, the lifting operations for the removal of thejackets are evaluated by applying two different crane vessels. Dynamic hook load(DHL) is calculated to check the crane capacity. The clearances between crane boom of the vessel/extremity of the crane vessel and the lifted jacket are also checked during the Lifting operation.-
