dc.description.abstract | In this paper, authors introduce about ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) and VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) simulators based on ENC (Electronic Navigational Chart) and radar. In order to develop these systems, authors develop the base technologies for ENC utilization and radar signal processing. From these based technologies, ECDIS simulator is developed firstly. In this process, the ship-handling simulator developed by our institute is used as base platform for ECDIS. Then, with the radar target tracking technology, VTS simulator is developed. It is expected that these simulators and relational technologies will make a large contribution toward the safety of shipping-traffic environment. | - |
