dc.description.abstract | The design concept and the hydrodynamic perfomance of a frigate class trimaran are discussed. A series of resistance tests and numerical calculations were carried out to investigate the influence of side-full forms, longitudinal and transverse locations on the resistance characteristics, and the propulsion test to investigate the propulsion efficiency. The result shows that powering performance of the trimaran was executed in the towing tank, and the result was compared with the theoretical analysis result of the similar mono-hull ship.
