dc.description.abstractTo develop a mining system for deep-sea mineral resources like manganese nodules is a challenging task in ocean engineering. Mining system is composed of collecting system, lifting system and surface vessel. To collect the manganese nodules, the mining process is performed launching, driving, collecting, crushing and pumping operation in turn. In this paper, we concern the design of monitoring system for the deep-sea integrated mining operation system. According to the mining process, the monitoring system displays status such as vehicle's position, posture, motion and mining performance, etc.. Particularly, the monitoring system, is so programmed that operator perceives the system diagnostic and chooses proper measures.-
