dc.description.abstract | A tracked vehicle, named ‘Getdori’, has been developed for utilization in tideland. This paper deals with a brief description on development of ‘Getdori’ and performance results from field tests in a tideland of the west coast of Korea. ‘Getdori’ was designed with aims of usage in research survey works on geo-and-eco-system of tideland. It’s weight and size are 1,100kg and 3.5m(L)x2.1m(B)x2.1m(H), and powered by 26HP gasoline engine. Driving performances of the tideland vehicle, categorized in ‘driving on extremely soft terrain’, ‘transportation of load’ and ‘passage through topographical obstacles’, were evaluated in the field tests. An area of the tideland of ‘Gomso’ bay was chosen as the test field, where various conditions of geotechnical and topographical properties are present. The cohesion of the soft terrain of test field is 1.01 – 2.73 kPa. It was validated through the field tests that the developed tracked vehicle is applicable for practical uses in soft tideland after finalizing of water tightness. | - |
