Abstract

We conducted inshore tests of self-propelled miner(MineRo) combined with lifting pump at 100m water in 2009, and recently performed driving control test of MineRo at 120m water in August, 2010. The purposes of test is to obtain data that is marked by seabed driving properties and to test the automatic path tracking for MineRo driving on seabed. In this paper, we introduce inshore test and the acquisition data of MineRo for seabed driving property analysis. The analysis of all data via inshore test isnt completed yet. As first step in our analysis, we present sample data about seabed driving properties. And we will plan the more intensive study of MineRo seabed driving properties.
