dc.description.abstract | Recently, IMO began to proceed with the examination of technologies or tasks for e-Navigation in earnest after its adoption of SIP(Strategy Implementation Plan) in MSC 94, 2014. Korean e-Navigation program is to improve maritime safety in Korean waters considering IMO e-Navigation plan. According to the statistics of the last five years (2010~2014), there are about 412 accidents of common ships per year in Korean waters. On the other hand, there are about 1074 accidents of fishing boats. Considering the ratio of the number of accidents to the number of total ships, the ratio of fishing boats is less than it of common ships. However, the problem is the absolute number of accidents. So, the main object of Koreane-Navigation plan is to develop the services for the safety of fishing boats or small ships in Korean waters. The program considers technologies or tasks for IMO e-Navigation at the same time. In this presentation, the core technologies for the safety of all ships in Korean waters and the harmonization with IMO e-Navigation plan will be introduced. | - |
