dc.description.abstractThe importance of estimating the environment loads comes to the fore during the loading and off-loading process of the floating LNG bunkering terminal (FLBT). This is because the FLBT, which is positioned by the spread and turret mooring system, should perform the long-term missions at specific area. In particular, the current loads can have an extensive effect on the FLBT system, where the number of vessels come together and arranged in side-by-side configurations. Therefore, multi-body configurations, which are related to the operating scenario of the loading and off-loading process, are considered to estimate numerically current loads according to the heading angle from 0 to 180 deg. Regarding this concern,RANS-based simulation was employed with the assumption of the double body model based on 1/250 scale ratio. As a result, there are interesting characteristics of the current loads due to the shielding effect and separation delay resulting from the presence of ships upstream and downstream. The vector fields, pressure distributions, and three-dimensional separations are discussed systematically to identify the load characteristics of FLBT in the multi-body configurations.-
