- Abstract
- This paper describes a design methodology of power, electrical, and communication system for a general deep-sea exploration and development system. Since these systems of a deep-sea exploration and development system are tightly coupled with other sub-systems as a backbone, all possibilities in design should be considered at the first design stage, and then their changes also should be tracked to keep a balance of the whole system. This design guideline explains a general system structure, its components, and their relationships with a systematic design procedures, which can be used to sketch an outline of a general deep-sea system. In this paper, the guidelines are applied to on-going project, \\\\'The development of an advanced deep-sea unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV)\\\\' sponsored by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MOMAF) since 2001.
