dc.description.abstract | For telepresence in either virtual or remote site, reproduction of motion feelings to users with respect to locomotive cognition is indispensable. The motion platform is one of the traditional media to generate basic movements susceptible to human sensors like visual and vestibular apparatuses. The system exploiting a motion platform, however, usually lead to a motion sickness problem due to the nature of those sensors such as thresholds and interdependency not to mention the mechanical limitation of the motion platform itself. In this study, we are aiming at development of an enhanced motion cueing algorithm to be able to adapt to both human sensors’ characteristics and motion platform constraints. Target applications include marine tele-operation systems such as Cyber-Physical Operation System(CPOS) which require a virtual cockpit to intuitively control subsea equipment. | - |
