dc.description.abstract | In shipyard, transporters are essential transportation equipment. However, during transporting blocks by transporters, the blocks overturning accident can incur by changed the center of grav- ity of them. Current transporters are tried to transport the blocks in safety on the basis of opera- tor experience and judgment. Unfortunately the methods are ineffective to prevent the blocks overturning accidents. In fact, these accidents are happening continuously. Therefore, it is neces- sary to take measures to prevent the accidents in advance by informing operators of the blocks transportation state of the transporters. In this paper, to prevent the blocks overturning accidents, a monitoring system for blocks transportation state of transporter was developed. The requirements of field workers were analyzed and the development system was designed. In addition, perfor- mance evaluations were conducted on development systems to complete performance verification. | - |
