dc.description.abstract | Recently, Mass Driving Anti-Rolling System(MDARS) and Fin Stabilizer have been used for reducing roll motion of a ship in waves. In order to confirm the anti-rolling performances of such devices, the scaled model test has to be carried out. For this reason, free running model with the devices was developed and the hierachy of performance test was established. In this paper, we described the hardware components in the free running model in detail and those functions in the developing viewpoint. Also the performance test was carried out in a lake following the established procedure. As the result, it was confirmed that the developed system might be used in the validation of new control algorithm like robust, adaptive, or predictive control as well as determination of roll reduction performance of a designed anti-rolling device. | - |
