dc.description.abstract | In this study, a review of the numerical method that analyze the free surface wave was done. The instability of the numerical method was showed to be inevitable in Euler method for short waves. The Time-Consistence method and Runge-Kutta method have stability, providing time interval has a limitation for stability in Runge-Kutta method. The smoothing method that make the unstable short wave to be stable has been analyzed. Putting the above findings together, the design of numerical method for free surface waves was proposed.thod have stability, providing time interval has a limitation for stability in Runge-Kutta method.
