dc.description.abstract | A new research vessel Isabu has been put into ocean exploration since June 2017, which equips with DP2 class dynamic positioning system and hull-mounted high precision USBL. Isabu is expected to be useful especially for deep-sea exploration, so it is required to confirm the operational capability of the deep-sea ROV Hemire boarding on the RV Isabu. An operational process of Hemire on Isabu has been established using the deck equipment of Isabu. After modifying the remote control unit of Hemire, a pilot operation was separately conducted in the East Sea and Kwangyang harbor in May 2017. This paper presents the system interface of Hemire to implement Isabu as a mothership, and discusses the results of the pilot operation. | - |
