Abstract
To simulate 3-D wave rapidly and effectively, a numerical simulation model of fully nonlinear waves was established using the high order spectral method. In this method, the velocity potential was expanded into a set of Fourier series, and the fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithm was used to solve its spatial derivatives. It has high computational efficiency and precision, A numerical model was developed based on the high order spectral method to simulate nonlinear wave-wave interactions. Numerical results are compared with theoretical results and experimental results, and the sloshing wave in 3D tank is computed. The results show that the method is available and efficient for the simulation of high order nonlinear waves and focusing extreme waves.
