dc.description.abstractIn order to characterize underwater acoustic channel in shallow water pure tone signal is measured at various locations while moving transmitter slowly. PDFs of magnitude and phase are obtained and PDF parameters for magnitude are estimated assuming Rician distributions. The results show that the statistical parameters are changing very rapidly according to increasing distance and we can conclude that shallow water acoustic channels are very unpredictable. ? 2011 IEEE.-
