dc.description.abstract | This paper presents an experimental and numerical study on towing characteristics of a transportation barge during multi-tug operation. Model tests were carried out at Ocean Engineering Basin of KRISO. The motion of a towed transportation barge during multi-tug operation was measured. Numerical simulations based on the maneuvering model were conducted with hydrodynamic derivatives extracted from the model test. Measured towing trajectories were compared with numerical simulations.
