dc.description.abstractISO have recently revised ISO 15016, which specifies guidelines for the assessment of speed and power by analysis of speed trial data. This guideline is widely used in analysing speed Thai data in order to estimate the performance of newly built ship. The new version of ISO 15016 recently passed [MS (Draft International Standard) stage and is expected to be used from September l, 2015. The new version includes many major changes and some of the included methods, especially theoretical method used in wave resistance calculation cannot be done by hand or using simple spreadsheet. This paper discusses development of sea trial analysis software, named i-STAP that can fully support calculations required to apply the new amended ISO 15016. First, brief introduction on ISO 15016 standards and its amendments are given. Thai analysis methods included in the amended version arc discussed. Main functions and features of i-STAP are also discussed together with its application on actual sea trial data Using 1-STAP, the user can use any method included in the new ISO 15016 in analysing sea trial data including those in informative annexes. j-STAP requires speed trial data and model test results as input and output corrected power and speed together with all Intermediate calculation results so that the user can validate the results or investigate further. ? 2015: The Royal Institute of Naval Architects.-
