- Abstract
- In this study, the characteristics of current forces acting on four floating bodies are numerically investigated by using a commercial CFD software, STAR-CCM+. In the numerical analyses, 170k LNGC is located left of FLBT. 30k & 5k LNG Bunkering Vessels are located right of FLBT under the uniform current conditions. Steady calculations with RANS solver and realized k-epsilon model were conducted. Firstly, current coefficients of FLBT was calculated by CFD. Using the same technique, computation was carried out on the current loads of FLBT, 170k LNGC, 30k & 5k LBS in the side by side arrangement. In addition, the relative distance of 5k LBS that berth was independently changed to examine the current load characteristic of 5k LBS and FLBT. ?
