dc.description.abstract | This paper performs the dynamic analysis of the connection structures of a module type floating structure for sunlight generation system. A module type floating structure consists of numerous concrete blocks and connection beams. The concrete block structures play a role as a buoy and are connected each other by the connection beam. To analyze the total structure finite element method (FEM) is used. Analyses in 2 and 3-dimensional conditions are conducted and the results of each condition are compared. Wave force loaded on the concrete blocks is calculated approximately by using the Froude-Krylov equation in case of the 2-dimension analysis. On the contrary to this, in case of 3-dimension analysis, it is needed to apply high order boundary element method (HOBEM) for calculating the wave forces more closely. And results of wave load distribution on the total structure in the 3-dimension analysis are compared with the Froude-Krylov force that applies to the structure uniformly in 2-dimension one. By using the results of wave load analyses, stresses on the connection beams for each method are assessed and compared in the time domain. Also, the analysis of unit module structure is conducted and compared with the results on total structure consisting of many modules.
