dc.description.abstract | Marine topography is one of the basic data for maritime traffic simulator system. During shiphandling simulation, ship's collision and grounding should be checked in real-time. In order to recognize these situations, marine topography datasets should be built from the information of real simulation area. However, surveying data such as shoreline and depth for the maritime traffic simulation is difficult and inefficient. In this paper, the efficient and economical procedures for building marine topography datasets from ENC has been analyzed. DENC and SENC are extracted from ENC and preprocessed to build the datasets. For the fast spatial searching and calculating during realtime traffic simulation, shapefile format and local coordinate system are appropriate. And Akima interpolation algorithm is applied to create real depth surface of simulation area. | - |
