dc.description.abstract | It has been reported that when a ship sails with a heel angle, the ship has different manoeuvrability due to its heel angle and asymmetric shape of the hull. The FRMT(Free Running Model Test) system for a model ship which is largely heeled was developed to investigate the manoeuvrability of the ship and to obtain benchmark data for mathematical models and simulation results. This paper describes new applications and devices in the FRMT system, such as FRMT Manager, Center of Gravity Controller, Velocity Estimator, Camera Target, and so on. With this new system, free running model tests for KCS(KRISO Container Ship) were carried out and all data were analyzed to validate the system for future use. | - |
