- Abstract
- Structural safety assessment of offshore plant is the technology to evaluate the structural safety by analyzing causes of damage during the life cycle of the structure. It is a field monopolized by overseas design/engineering companies. Therefore, it is necessary to secure core technology in order to prevent foreign currency outflow and enhance the competitiveness of domestic industry. In this technical report, we describe testing and evaluation technology of elastomer nonlinear structural materials used to prevent damage from impact or collision. First of all, material test (tension / compression) and numerical analysis were carried out to improve the accuracy of numerical analysis of elastomer, and a application system of material models according to material characteristic was established through linking test and analysis together. Secondly, structural reliability analysis of various variables of the specimen was carried out in order to improve the accuracy of the elastomer structural material test. Finally, finite shell element based on finite element were developed and the accuracy of the developed elements was verified. The technology discussed in this technical report is expected to be the foundation on which structural research can be set up and expanded.
