dc.description.abstract | Recent international regulation and rise in competition call for the need to minimize discharging environmental pollutants and fuel consumption. While there are many advanced technical solutions, it is still not easy to verify their effects on energy consumptions due to marine environmental factors involved in analysing ship performance. Therefore, shipping companies and solution providers needed a means to objectively verify the cost and effects of energy saving solutions. International standard for measurement of changes in hull and propeller performance (ISO19030) is developed to provide such means. This report provides introduction to ISO19030 standard and expectations in the future from application examples to operational data. | - |
