dc.description.abstractTypically, fire risk of naval vessels are higher than commercial vessels. Therefore, fire safety assessment and fire-resistant design guidelines for fire safety improvement of naval vessels are required. When steel is exposed to the high temperature, strength tend to decrease. Temperature dependent material properties of steel in naval ship design have to consider for fire safety. In this paper, the related data were investigated and evaluated. Applicability of the temperature dependent material properties for fire safety assessment of naval vessel were studied by applying temperature effects to the fire strength analysis.mperature, strength tend to decrease.
