dc.description.abstract | As we have constructed a new deep ocean engineering basin in Busan, this facility is required to ensure the reliability of wave generation performance. Accordingly, reflected waves by a wave absorber system should be eliminated as much as possible. Firstly, we performed some experiments in the KRISO 2D wave flume with the initial wave absorber model. Wave signals achieved from three wave probes were divided into two categories, incident waves and reflected waves. Results were arranged in aspect of reflection ratios with different wave periods and wave stiffnesses. Secondly, additional wave absorbing devices were installed and examined in the same condition in order to check their performances. Structural loadings on the 2D model were also measured and these results were analyzed precisely. | - |
