dc.description.abstract | A ship-handling simulator is a complex system with integrated various hardware and software. Therefore, the simulator system has some problems that is difficult to manage and not easy to modify.In order to solve these problems, we propose some mobile technologies for ship handling simulator system. The mobile devices have benefits that can be extended easily, and can be used anywhere freely. Moreover, many kinds of mobile devices have been developed based on new technology recently.In this paper, we have defined four core technologies of mobile platform for the simulator system such as user interface, networking, map display and database. Also, we have described trends of these technologies Finally, we analyze the possibilities and problems of mobile devices for the simulator system, and we suggest an example of configuration based on mobile devices.some mobile technologies for ship handling simulator system.
