dc.description.abstract | Most of the high-speed propellers with large inclined shaft angle have the severe erosion problem by root cavitation around propeller blade root. These phenomena occur because of the upward flow created by the inclined shaft. In order to improve the erosion problem by root cavitation, Root Cavitation Control Hole(RCCH) perforated at the erosion part around propeller blade root. RCCH improves the erosion problem and the fluctuating pressure level considerably without thrust loss, and its model test result is compared with that of the full-scale test. The present results can be applied for the existing ship as well as new ship where the erosion problem may be occurred at around propeller blade. | - |
