- Abstract
- This paper presents a numerical scheme for predicting propeller non-cavitating noise. The acoustic pressure propagated from the surface of a control volume to a receiving point is calculated by a potential-based panel method. The developed method is applied to the propeller in the uniform flow with and without shaft inclination. Finally, the numerical prediction is compared with the measurement in a wind tunnel, which gives reliable results.method is applied to the propeller in the uniform flow with and without shaft inclination.
