밸러스트수 처리장치 개발을 위한 기준 및 기술

Abstract

The International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships Ballast Water & Sediments was adopted by consensus at a diplomatic conference at IMO on February 2004. Almost of the ships must install the ballast water treatment system to meet given standard from 2009. Following to the Convention, thirteen guidelines will be developed by IMO. This paper reviews criteria for design of ballast water treatment system according to Convention, guidelines and reports of IMO. This paper reviews also methodology for development of ballast water treatment system considering to the current technology of foreign countries.
