dc.description.abstract | This paper reviews the concept of the trimaran with the Pod electric propulsion system. The trimaran has wide deck space and benefits in wave resistance, stability and seakeeping performance. The Pod electric propulsion system can increase the performance of maneuvering, vibration, noisy and etc., which will complement demerits of the trimaran. It is expected that the trimaran would be one of the high valued vessels applicable to a high speed container carrier, a passenger ship, navy ship and etc.the performance of maneuvering, vibration, noisy and etc., which will complement demerits of the trimaran.
