dc.description.abstract | Generally, mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) routing protocols try to find a minimum hop route. However, end-to-end (E2E) packet delivery ratio (PDR) is governed by the maximum hop distance (MHD) under additive white gaussian noise (AWGN) channel model, and the minimum hop routing metric is not the optimal one in the view point of E2E-PDR in AWGN. In this paper, we propose a routing metric that minimizes the MHD of multi-hop MANET. In order to minimize routing overhead, quantized maximum hop distance, not the overall hop distance history, is propagated and updated. The proposed minimized MHD routing metric can improve E2E-PDR in an overhead efficient manner. | - |
