The International Maritime Organization has approved the use of a total of five satellite navigation systems, such as GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and NavIC. In Korea, not only four satellite based radionavigation systems except NavIC can be used, but also Japan’s regional navigation satellite system, which have not yet been approved, can be received. Japan has asked the International Maritime Organization to recognize QZSS as WWRNS in order to formalize the use of QZSS in the ocean. For this reason, this paper deals with the necessity of analyzing the feasibility of using the regional navigation satellite systems for marine navigation.-
