dc.description.abstractTopographical and geological data were acquired and analyzed for the OTEC area. The project area has a geological environment that leads to beach-reef / flat-reef / crest-fore reef / reef wall formed in a typical atoll environment. The topography of beach-reef and flat-reef was obtained through a small drone, and crest-fore reef and reef wall were obtained through a single-beam/multi-beam echo sounder. A portable drill was used to collect flat-reef rock samples. The topographical characteristics of the planned intake routes of the land-type system and the berthing system were analyzed using the water depth data. In the In the section of the reef wall, a scar appears due to a slide or slump. The inclination of the seabed topography around 1,000 m of water where the water intake is to be installed was investigated in the range of about 20 to 40°. Most of the rock samples are limestone formed by coral.-
