dc.description.abstract | In order to apply Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion to the domestic sea, it must be installed in an area with a sufficient temperature difference and satisfy the requirements to withstand the extreme environment conditions like typhoons in summer. Therefore, the concept that the spar buoy riser with ocean observation and artificial upwelling function is moored in the sea permanently and the detachable OTEC barge is connected to the spar buoy in operating environmental conditions was set up. The plant arrangement design and stability of the barge equipped with 1MW OTEC were reviewed and the safety under the operating condition of OTEC barge connected to the spar buoy riser and the safety under the storm condition of the spar buoy riser were evaluated. | - |
