dc.description.abstractSimulator system for DTV(Diver Transportation Vehicle) was developed for the training of divers. It consists of 6-DOF motion platform, cockpit of DTV, and image generators. Electrically actuated motion platform has ability to reproduce the accelerations over 0.6G, and the angles nearly 30 degree. On the motion platform, the full scale DTV that has been used in the model test is attached, and the control devices is attached to maneuver the DTV simulator. The PC-based image generators produce realistic 3-D image by using commercial software. For the realistic motion behavior, the DTV model test was carried out and the dynamic model for the DTV was setup. And the real-time dynamic solver and motion algorithm for the motion platform was programmed. The simulator system was developed in parallel with the development of DTV, operation test was completed, and recently tested by experienced divers.-
