dc.description.abstract | In the process of evacuation from a structure, it is said that four kinds of factors determine total evacuation time. They are configuration, procedure, environment, and human behaviour. They are called evacuation factors and have strong influence on each other; therefore evacuation model must be able to assess the effect of these factors altogether to predict evacuation time correctly. However, most of evacuation models incline to assess only one or two of them. Furthermore, during evacuation from a ship on the sea, the influence of environment factor grows greatly and as the result of this, synergism of evacuation factors can appear. Confronting this problem boldly, we started to develop intelligent ship evacuation model, which is named as IMEX(Intelligent Model for EXtrication simulation) and can solve problems caused by complex configuration and motion of ship. IMEX 1) includes general features of evacuation models, 2) can predict physical interactions between evacuees by using Pynamics, a dynamics model, and 3) provides a direct mechanism to evaluate evacuation procedures by using intelligent human behaviour model. These all features of IMEX can be summarized as ‘the integration of intelligent human behaviour model and dynamics model’. | - |
