dc.description.abstract | Currently there are many evacuation models and they model human behaviors in many ways. In this paper, we used and intelligent agent, which is named as “MUPI: MUlti-Purpose Intelligent agent”, to model evacuees’ behaviors. MUPI can represent physical, emotional, cognitive, and social attributes of evacuee and these attributes comprise basis for decision making during evacuation. Furthermore, MUPI has a physics model “PYNAMICS” to calculate force interaction between evacuees. This is especially useful to model jam situation which frequently occurs in front of doors. We developed a prototype of evacuation model, which is named as “IMEX: Intelligent Model for Extrication simulation”, to apply and test MUPI in the field of evacuation model. We present some execution examples to show the functionality of MUPI and IMEX. | - |
