dc.description.abstractMarine accidents have vast adverse effects on human, vessels and/or marine structures and the environment. Accordingly, the efforts to reduce the marine accidents have always been present, but recently, as the accidents became greater in scale and severity of consequences, such efforts became more important. This paper introduces some risk-based methodologies as means of safety assessment, and suggests a conceptual framework of integrated risk management based on those methodologies as means of ensuring the safety of marine systems.-
