dc.description.abstract | Ship-STEP has been developed more than last 10 years. Just finishing the DIS ballot and comment resolution process, now it is about to be distributed ad International Standard (IS). It’s time to study how shipbuilding industries are going to use it for the enhancement of their productivity. STEP-Manufacture is newly developing standard in ISO TC184/SC4 for the production automation system. It has various application scope and steelwork process is one of it’s application area. This study is to review the possibility of ship-STEP use in the way of automation of shipbuilding process. Some typical type of data and their relations for the automation instruments are analyzed. The way how to integrate the shipbuilding process from design to production using ship-STEP and STEP-Manufacture is also reviewed. | - |
