dc.description.abstractIn this study, we focus on the types of human errors that cause casualties. In Japan and South Korea, therefore, the reports on marine accidents and incidents conducted by the each Authorities are investigated with a focus on human factors. Through the investigation, human factors which contribute to marine accident is defined as the classification of accident causes by category of accident and it is shown that the human factor plays an very important role in marine casualties and explains up to 99 % of the casualty.-
