| dc.description.abstract | Based upon the agreement made by the NOWPAP Members in 1999, the Marine Environmental Emergency Preparedness and Response Regional Activity Center (MERRAC) has been established in March 2000 in Daejeon, Republic of Korea, as a regional activity center to coordinate the relevant regional activities under the technical guidance and supports from UNEP and IMO. The purpose of the present paper is to introduce current activities of MERRAC as a new regional initiative on marine pollution preparedness and response in the NOWPAP region, together with future visions of the Centre. | - |
