Ventilation system in cabins onboard is essential for comfortable and healthful environment of crew members; however it is very difficult to predict the ventilation performance before the system is finally built in. Even though there are several requirements for the ventilation system, such as limits for maximum concentration of CO2, arithmetic estimation of change rate based on the flow rate and the cabin volume is the only available tool for the prediction. Since the air flow depends heavily on the geometrical domain, assessments based on computational fluid dynamics can be very effective and useful alternative. This paper presents computational study of air flow in cabin onboard using CFD for 3D Navier-Stokes equation and multi-species transport. Existing air and ventilated air are considered as different species, and the transport of new air is solved results include predicted mass fraction of new air in the cabin and the effects of buoyancy due to the skin temperature of crews in the cabin. The computations also include effects of humidity in order th assess PMV and PPD. The results are compared with limited experimental data, showing reasonable agreements.-
