dc.description.abstractThe applicability of floating container yard is investigated in this paper by analyzing heeling and hydrodynamic responses. In the heeling analysis, finite element method employing Mindlin plate is used. Container weight, inertia force due to crane lift and wind load acting on crane are considered as external loads. In the hydrodynamic analysis, higher order boundary element method is used to calculate motions due to wave. By calculating relative motions of container yard and displacements of mooring system, the effectiveness of floating container yard is evaluated.-
