dc.description.abstract | Sea trial tests of Rigid Inflated Boat (RIB), which will be used as a hull of Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV), are carried out for its maneuverability analysis. The length, breadth and maximum speed are about 9.6m, 3.3m and 40 knots, respectively. As sea trial tests, maneuvering tests such as 30° turning test, spiral test and rudder response test, are planned. DGPS and IMU for measurements of position and attitude are used and main data-logging controller is also installed in RIB. Sea trial test is carried out in coastal sea area near Gwang-An-Li of Busan. RIB is controlled by navigational officer and steersman. Sea state is lower than 4. As results of sea trial tests, it is found that tactical diameter is about 2.5L and spiral characteristics are stable. Response delay is not appeared in rudder response test. In this paper, the features of RIB and sea trial test is introduced and its maneuvering characteristics are also discussed. | - |
