dc.description.abstract | In this study, we investigated the current characteristics at the northern part of East sea, Korea, during April, 2004~January, 2005. We carried out studises as follows; 1)water mass analysis by observed CTD data, 2)calculation of the geostrophic current equation (hereafter GC Eq.) by using water temperature and salinity, 3)calculation of net flux considered East Korean Warm(hereafter EKWC) and north Korean Cold Water(hereafter NKCW) by relative velocities seasonally. Water temperature was regular at layer 65m depths and salinity was regular at layer 20~60m depth. The seasonal net Flux had northward current over all but it influenced southward current at strongly in winter. At layer 100m depth, there was few velocity but appeared the maximum Net Flux. It will be guessed that it is effected by the East Sea proper water. | - |
