dc.description.abstractWIG (Wing In Ground) crafts are novel type of high speed marine transportation and could be appreciated as crossover between ships and aircrafts. Characteristics of WIG crafts-concept lead to necessity for developing the best-suited design and production processes of WIG crafts from existing processes of ships and aircrafts industries and for applying the digital manufacturing method in order to reduce development time and cost. This paper describes several factors to be considered for the construction of WIG crafts with low cost and proposes a way to resolve those issues through digital manufacturing.-
